What is the sign up process?
You can sign up on the Charity Portal anytime. All we need is your basic information. Once your information is verified and our program is launched we will send you a log-in credentials that will allow you to access your account at the Charity Portal. At the Charity Portal, you can track donations, update your account information, and select how you’d like to receive donations.
How quickly will my organization be able to receive donations?
Donations are dispersed to your organization on a monthly basis, and account from purchases made 75 days after the purchase date in order to accommodate returned merchandise and cancelled orders.
How will my organization receive these donations?
As a Sparo Charity, you have the option to receive these donations through either Check or Direct Deposit. You have the ability to change or edit your payment method/information on the Charity Portal.
Will you take a percentage of the donations being made to my organization?
Absolutely not. The donations made to your organization are yours and Sparo doesn’t keep any portion of this. Much more, each donation activity is tracked and logged live into your Charity Portal, where you can keep track of the donations made to your organization and see the disbursement history of the donations paid out.
If you don’t take a portion of the donations, then how does Sparo keep its program running?
In addition to the donating a percentage of their sales, our merchant partners also agree to pay a small Sparo fee that is completely separate from the donations. This allows us to keep our program running.
What are my obligations as a Charity enrolled in the Sparo program?
You have no obligations and there are no costs with enrolling in the program. But we do hope that you can help us spread the word to your donor base so we can get as many donations as we can for your organization!
Will I know who is electing to submit donations to my charity from the merchant?
No, we keep all shopper information strictly confidential. You will, however, have access to the breakdown of donations by merchant in the payment portal.
What if I no longer wish to participate in the Sparo Program?
We will miss you- but we understand. You can simply send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will remove all your information from our site and program materials.
